Admittedly he looks like he might be at a strip club getting ready to be a very "generous gentleman" but in reality that's Rich Thomas (no relation) putting his money where his mouth is, literally (notice the correct usage of this word). If you care about fighting censorship, are into Flickr and new online media, or generally like a good throwing down of the gauntlet, then check out his post and get involved.

This has been a long time coming. After seeing picture after picture of my fat neck, and talking to various people, and hearing from my doctor that my cholesterol is too high, I decided I needed to take action. So, as of today, Operation: Fat Bastard is in effect. I'm documenting each day of workout in a flickr set. I think I'm going to start with every other day at 30 minutes of running on a treadmill, and work my way up from there. If you happen to see that I've missed a day, nag me would ya? My future self will definitely appreciate it, even if my present self grumbles.

So, it's the end of an era. After several years (5ish?), I've decided to leave Adobe. I will be taking a job with Idiom as a Sales Engineer. It's a very amicable departure and I think this may not be the last Adobe has seen of me. Still, it's the right thing for me at the moment. I'm looking forward to working in a smaller company, with all the more hat wearing craziness that comes with it. They make great localization server software, WorldServer. If you know anyone that works somewhere interested in something like that, let me know. I'll be happy to give them my techie sales spiel. This should also give me some flexibility in where I need to live, so I can move a lot closer to Drew. I'm not sure when my last day will be. I'll be ordering some Adobe/Macromedia software for myself. After I figure out what I'm getting, if anyone desperately needs something, let me know now and I'll see what I can do.

Also, I recently made and uploaded some new lj icons (yes, I'm a dweeb) based on banksy's site. He's an amazing artist, whether you agree with his politics or not, and recently one of his tags was shot in Woody Allen's Match Point (one of 2005's movies I enjoyed most).
